مَردُم

Influenced by queer Iranian-American identity, mardôm was created as a cultural response to the ways society styles us before we get to decide how to style ourselves. Garments are descriptors of identity, each piece being in discussion with the other - and with the social, political, and cultural structures surrounding us.

Mardôm (mah-r-dohm) is Farsi for “people”.
